The core is a Chinese Poplar that is less stable than Birch Plywood. The face and back veneers of the Birch are usually cut from Russian logs with Rotary Cut Whole Piece Faces and Backs. The core has more plies, layers than the typical Russian Birch plywood.

This is often referred to as Baltic Birch, is a high-quality panel product with a core unlike traditional plywood. The inner plies are solid birch veneer, cross-banded. Virtually void free and manufactured with uniformly thick veneer wood.
